To expand our Supply Chain team, we are looking for a:
Supply Chain Planner
(32-40 hours)
We are looking for an analytical talent with outstanding planning and problem solving skills.
Your role
As a Supply Chain Planner, you are responsible for both short- and long-term demand and supply planning. You will play a key role in steering operations such as seed production, seed processing, quality testing, and inventory allocation to ensure smooth customer order fulfillment. Your focus is on deciding the 'what', 'where', and 'when' of these activities, while the execution (the 'how') is managed by other teams within the Supply Chain department.
You will be based at our headquarters in Wageningen, where you will be working closely together with the Sales, Customer Service, Seed Production, Seed Processing & QA and Trial Services team. You report to the Supply Chain Lead.
Main activities
- Conduct weekly seed availability checks to align customer orders with available inventory.
- Coordinate order-driven seed inventory allocations.
- Collaborate with Trial coordinators from the Field Services team to streamline start material delivery for internal and external field trialing demand.
- Act as the key user for our ERP software program for all processes related to inventory management, quality testing, and production planning.
- Provide backup support for F1 seed and parental material production planning & administration (e.g. parent material shipping, production contracts, yield estimates, and seed receiving’s).
Requirements:
- A minimum of a BSc degree in (Agri)Business, Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
- A good command of the English language.
- Experience with (various) ERP and planning software tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with a structured working approach.
- Excellent communication skills, especially when working with the Sales team.
- You currently live in the Netherlands.
